The Law Offices of Jeffrey B. Melcer, PLLC, a boutique litigation firm located in the Financial District, is seeking a highly motivated Associate Attorney with 1–3 years of experience to join our practice. The firm handles a range of personal-injury litigation, including but not limited to Premises Liability, Municipal Liability, Auto Accidents, Job Site Accident, Medical Malpractice and other liability cases on the Plaintiff's side in state courts.

The ideal candidate is a strong writer, an excellent communicator and someone who thrives in a team-focused environment. Requirements

Responsibilities
Draft motions, opposition papers, and other legal memoranda in state court matters;
Review and approve pleadings, discovery demands/responses, and subpoenas;
Attend court conferences, motion arguments, and depositions as needed throughout the NY Metro Area and virtually;
Conduct legal research and analyze complex factual and procedural issues;
Communicate with clients, adversaries, experts, and court personnel;
Assist in trial preparation and appellate briefing;
Manage deadlines and maintain organized electronic case files;
